#7 Task

I liked this set of sites. My favorite was the LitLovers site. Not only did it contain reading lists, suggestions, and other tid bits for readers, it contained a set of tutorials on how to read a novel. They were consise, gave excellent information, and would be an invaluable tool for teachers. I was impressed at the quality of the information.

My least favorite site was library thing. I guess I don't have much interest in keeping track of what I'm reading or rating what I have read.

#6 Task

Wow! I loved the New Staff Orientation module. I would think that would be something we could all refer to when needed even after we've been working a while. It would have been unbelievably useful for when I first started working here. I wouldn't have felt like I was asking stupid questions!!!

#5Task

I went one step further on the patron hold section and decided to show my college professor husband how to place his own holds rather than having me do it for him. Since he generally doesn't like to listen to me it was a challenge. After several false starts we did manage to hold several items using the book bag and but he still insists that it is easier for him to have me do it for him. After 34 years of marriage it is nice to be needed.

#4 Task

I have been resisting using facebook for quite some time do only to the fact that my children tend to publish unflattering candid photos of me during unguared moments at family gatherings. However, I did sign on just to see what the latest postings were from the little darlings. I'm now sure I don't want to know that much about them!

#3 Task

I did learn more about the library web page...and managed to miss only one. I think I just mistakenly clicked on the wrong answer!

#2 task

I checked to see if my son's band The Mad Caddies was on Pandora. They were!!! Everyone seemed pretty impressed. I'm going to see if the other kids bands are on anything other than myspace.

Later...Just out of curiousity I checked on lastfm and found all three sons' bands. The fun part about this site was there were pictures of them! Giselle and I got in trouble for giggling...

Okay, I created a new blog and successfully logged on.
